A Hearts at Home conference gives moms the unique opportunity to pause along their mothering journey to refresh, refocus, and renew themselves. The 2010 National Conference, Mom’s the Word, is being held at the Bone Student Center of Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois on March 12-13.

Although online and phone-in registrations are closed, walk-ins are welcome both days of the conference.

altWinter drags on me here in the Midwest. I’m craving a ray of sunshine to brighten my spirits. But, it isn’t always the weather that’s to blame. Sometimes life as a mom takes a lot out of you. Like the day I helped my daughter compose her first term paper and I felt like I’d walked a mile through quick sand. Or the time my son got a call from the assistant principal and needed a long and uncomfortable talking to from both of us. Or the news that the fees I thought I’d already paid for my college student are now embarrassingly overdue and have increased substantially with a penalty.
