Hearts at Home

Winter drags on me here in the Midwest. I’m craving a ray of sunshine to brighten my spirits. But, it isn’t always the weather that’s to blame. Sometimes life as a mom takes a lot out of you. Like the day I helped my daughter compose her first term paper and I felt like I’d walked a mile through quick sand. Or the time my son got a call from the assistant principal and needed a long and uncomfortable talking to from both of us. Or the news that the fees I thought I’d already paid for my college student are now embarrassingly overdue and have increased substantially with a penalty.

My kids are long past needing me physically every minute, but they have a lot of emotional, provisional, and educational needs that just keep piling up. 

I know I have to depend on friends who’ve been there to brighten my outlook. 

Being a mom, no matter what stage or season you’re in, is a big job. I’m so glad I have the help of Hearts at Home to brighten up my March. Sun or no sun, I’m really needing it.
