During that time, I asked Jan about creating a family bracelet around the Scripture from Joshua 24:15 when Joshua proclaims that as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. She designed the bracelet that you see above from this verse. My bracelet is made of Austrian Swarovski Crystal with my husbands & my birth months (March and August) , then our three daughters' birth months (July, March & January), surrounding the cross is the month that we were married (September) and completing the bracelet is the cross placed in the middle. I wear this bracelet almost every day and have the opportunity to share my family story, as well as my faith. As people ask me about this special piece of jewelry, I start by telling them it is the story of my family - explaining the representation of the birth months of our family. I then tell that we were married in September, 26 years ago, and it is the work of the cross that has kept us our marriage together and is the center of our life. I always end by sharing the verse as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Oh, the great conversations this piece of jewelry evokes with people as we talk about the gift of children, how hard marriage can be, the joys of knowing the Savior and sometimes the struggle of unbelief. It is a blessing to share my family story with you through Share His Story and how the Lord is working through beautiful jewelry to share what He is doing in the lives of His people.Share His Story has created a My Heart is at Home bracelet (inspired by the conferences and created to support the ministry of Hearts at Home). When you purchase this special bracelet, a portion of the proceeds will directly benefit Hearts at Home. We are excited to announce that Share His Story wants to give one of these bracelets away! To be entered in the drawing simply go to the Share His Story website, find a bracelet that speaks a story to you and then share that story in the comment section of this blog. A drawing will be held on September 30 and the winner posted on October 1. What story do you have to share? Comments (19)

Tricia,
The stories of God's faithfulness in our lives are powerful and are meant to be shared - they remind us of how no matter happens God is always with us and is still in control. Thank you for sharing your story... Sandra Recognize & Remember www.sandrajo.wordpress.com written by Beth/Mom2TwoVikings, September 21, 2008
I was the only child of a single, divorced mom raised to entirely dependent only on myself. Trust no one entirely, let no one too close and succeed no matter what. I could have it all - I would find a husband some day. Then, when and if I had kids I could just put them in day care and public school like everyone else and keep my career going. I was driven, cocky, combative, argumentative, and unforgiving while also being a mess emotionally and sincerely unable to understand why I could never seem to make connections with people.
Through what I see now is a series of small miracles (although NONE of God's miracles are truly small), over the matter of the last 10 years, I have gone from a nearly-militant liberal feminist public school teacher to a saved commitmed submitted married conservative homeschooling mom of two. Talk about God's miracles! LOL My walk with God was not the traditional Road-to-Damascus sudden conversion but God worked His conversion over me a matter of years, letting His love and time heal all my wounds. Using the Hearts at Home bracelet as a chance to minister and witness to other would be my privilege. Beth @ twolittlevikings.blogspot.com written by Dawn's Daily Life, September 21, 2008
I love the "My Heart is at Home" bracelet, because my heart is at home.
However, I also love the "Fruit of the Spirit" bracelet. As a Christian, I feel it is important to spread the fruits to others, and I am often quoting that scripture to myself. A bracelet is an excellent way to remind ourselves...practical and decorative. It would also be a fabulous way to talk about the fruits with others

That is a very hard choice to make. For myself I would choose the "love of Christ" bracelet. These are Bible verses I pray over my children regularly, and for myself. But I love the Friends of Faith for my daughters who are in high school. I also really like the Mathew 5:4 bracelet. For me, probably, that would be the best "story" as we are coming on the 5th anniversary of our teen age son's death in a car accident. And God has been very faithful and near to us as we've mourned his loss on a daily basis.

How to choose...I truly like them all. Right now, I'd love to have the Galatians 5:22 Grow with the Spirit bracelet. We have just started Beth Moore's bible study of the Fruit of the Spirit and I think this would be so neat to have a daily reminder of the things I am learning!

I love the God's Faithfulness bracelet. The past 3 years have been filled with some difficult times for my family. My twin boys were born at 28 weeks - Moses went home to be with the Father after one month with us (due to complications with his heart). His brother, Abraham, is a happy and healthy 3 year old. We lost my grandmother shortly after the boys were born. Then the summer after Moses went home to Jesus, my 4 year old niece lost her foot in a lawn mower accident. Were it not for the faithfulness and peace of GOD, there is no way that we would have made it through it all. I have been amazed at the way that God has worked in the midst of our pain to bring GOOD from it. This bracelet would be a great reminder of HIS faithfulness.

As much as I love my job of wife and mommy, some days (OK, most days) I get so tired that I feel like there is nothing of me left. My husband works nights, sleeps into the morning, leaving me home with four kids essentially on my own. By the time dinner and homework and dishes and bedtime are done I am praying for the strength to just finish out my day. I go to bed pleading for renewal. Though our circumstances may differ, I think most moms feel this way. I think this beautiful bracelet would be constant reminder to myself as well as a lovely way to share the source of my strength.

My husband and I have felt called for years to work overseas for God with people who have never heard the Gospel. Recently we have made a lot of progress in the process of going and are set to "deploy" in fall 2009. Our prayers for our future and our children (15 mos and due in November) have changed a lot in light of our impending mission. Lately I've really been praying that our whole family would be "rooted" in Christ's love. That we wouldn't see our roots in a place like North Carolina, or even the country where we plan to live and work. If we (us and our children) are rooted in Christ's boundless love, we can be anywhere, doing anything and it will feel like home!
In the midst of this new prayer on my heart, I've read Ephesians 3:17-19 so many times, praying that we would be rooted and established in Jesus' love! What a perfect reminder this bracelet would be to me! written by Elizabeth M., September 22, 2008
I am partial to the Fruit of the Spirit bracelet because I desire deeply to walk with God on a consistent basis but sometimes there are petty feelings or actions that trip me up and this bracelet contains such a wonderful reminder of how I should not give up but to perservere. It's been a most challenging and difficult five years and I know that God has brought circumstance in our lives to challenge us and help us grow. I thank him daily for the many blessings he provides and for his consistent love and faithfulness.

I adore the bracelet you are giving away but I also love the "teach your children" bracelet. Ever since having my daughter 15 months ago, I have struggled with having to work fulltime. I want to be able to spend every day with my daughter, teaching her all about life's wonderful and not so wonderful lessons. We are so blessed to have her Godmother to care for her during the day, but I desperately want to be the one to watch her excitement each day as she discovers something new. This bracelet reminded me that I still have so much to teach my daughter and that no matter how much time I am away from her, I am still teaching her so much more! m_huston(at)hotmail(dot)com

This is such beautiful jewelry. It was hard to chose a favorite. My top two were the My Heart is at Home bracelet. I could see this being a nice conversation starter to tell others why I chose to stay home. I also love the beautiful Fruit of the Spirit bracelet. This one would be a perfect reminder to me that I need to be showing the fruit to others since I have the Spirit in me.
I just finished reading Professionalizing Motherhood and was truly blessed. Thank you! Bethany (Raindrops & Rainbows) http://raindropsrainbows.blogspot.com/ written by Sandra, September 25, 2008
Such amazing jewelry...my favorites are The Love of Christ and John 3:16. The first would encourage to live each day with love for our Savior as his love for us is without bounds. It would be lovely to share that verse with a striking visual for emphasis. The other bracelet truly explains to others why my faith journey strengthens each day. We have four young children and I never felt God's sacrifice of his Son for us so intensely until I became a mom.

This year, a certain scripture keeps "popping up" in my life. It's Phil 4:13. I did a search on the word strength and found the blue Find Strength bracelet! What a lovely reminder of how God has continually given me strength to endure all things throughout my life.
Oh, it hasn't been easy. But, I can't imagine going through trials without God on my side. When doctors say your unborn child will not be normal, or that your 4 year old child will have some brain difficulty after an accident, and God says healing instead. Or when you are afraid that your marriage might be over, and God is there helping you claim it back! God has used people to minister and speak to me when I needed it most. And I have also truly felt the arms of God holding me, while standing in my kitchen and wondering how I'm going to stay strong through this next trial. He has constantly proven how strong he is, when I am at my weakest. How wonderful would it be, if during my busy days as a wife and mother, someone stops and asks me about my bracelet, and I say, "I would be happy to tell you all about it." Then God, again, gives me the strength to tell his and my story. written by Amy, September 27, 2008
I feel that ths year go hs trned my focus truly to home. Ever sincemy Son started school in the fall of 1999 I went to work part time as a teacher's Assistant Substitue which I have truly enjoyed doing. Last fall for some rerason I stoped getting calls from the school. All of last year I only recieved 5 calls 3 of which I was not qulified for in the first place. By any means I did not understand why to this day I still don't, but I feel that God has a plan and a reason for me to be truly at home. I feel this even more since I found out at the begining of this school year I found out that they have totally taken mee off the payroll. I don't know what God has planed forme but I know that he wants to beat home when it happens. I pray that I can stay happy with that and not turn his Paln into mine.

My favorite bracelet is the Family Bracelet. I was at a Hearts at Home Conference 2 years ago and Jan was there showing her jewelry. I spent quite a while talking to her (actually trying to decide if I could afford a bracelet). I am a stay at home mom who homeschools my two youngest children, so times can be tight. I wouldn't have it any other way! I did buy the bracelet and it was the most beautiful piece of jewelry I have ever had. It was a wonderful way to tell my family story and include our precious twin daughters that were born too early and are angels in heaven watching over us. I wore my bracelet every day and had many people compliment me on it and loved to hear the sentiment behind it (also that it was made by disabled adults in Illinois). I was shopping one day at the local mall and noticed at the end of our shopping excursion that my bracelet was missing. I spent the next two hours going back to every store and spot in those stores that I had been, with no luck. I left my name and number along with the description of the bracelet, but to no avail. Now, 1 1/2 years later, I would love to have my bracelet replaced as we have not had the available funds to replace it! Thanks for letting me share my story!

I met Brad on an internship almost 8 years ago. He was a professed agnostic and I was a Christian who had lost her way. After he broke up with me, I hit rock bottom. I hit my knees in prayer and asked God to heal my wounded heart. One night, about six months after we broke up, Brad called me and said he wanted to know where I got the peace that I had been displaying. I shared my testimony with him. God took it from there and I began to pray for Brad's salvation. We got married in 2003, had a son in 2006, a son in 2007 and then this past summer my husband was baptized to show the world that he was now His son and all because I shared His story.

Thank you to everyone who shared their story - each one is precious and God given. I am continually amazed at how God works His plan out in each of our lives. May our Lord be glorified through each of our stories.
I am glad that I don't have to pick the winner - because I would want to chose each one!! Many Blessings, Sandra Recognize & Remember www.sandrajo.wordpress.com Write comment
