Remember the do-over? That recess maneuver designed to ensure a second chance after an errant pass in dodge ball or a missed badminton serve.
My childhood do-overs had long faded from memory, but a couple of summers ago, we received a parental one. Thankfully our family's do-over occurred before we ever knew we needed one.

If you are the mom of small children, you've been there. The waiting room, the checkout lane, the dressing room, the restaurant. Really just about anywhere will do.
The natives get restless, tempers flares, tears roll, the noise level increases and one more incident is added to the list of embarrassing moments.

This article was written in 2004 after we had traveled internationally on several occasions including two trips to Russia to adopt our son, Kolya. I believe it reminds us of all we have celebrate on the 4th of July!
This was a year of international travel for me. For someone who doesn’t like to fly, that means it was also a year of faith!
